Accounting > Melinda Kidd

Melinda started in accounting in 1999, becoming an accounting firm partner at just 30 years old. As a mother of two boys (9 and 11), Mel understands all about the competing priorities of trying to be a good Mum – while also managing your business. She specialises in superannuation, property development, mining and retail and lives by the motto that we’re only here once – let’s live it and don’t stand still!

Banking > Melissa Green

Melissa is the Owner Manager of BOQ Mackay City, and has been at BOQ for over 23 years. Starting as the cheque delivery girl (before the days of internet banking!), Mel worked her way up through the ranks and today she is dedicated to supporting locals to achieve their financial goals, dreams and successes, and to be there when they have fallen to help them stand up again.

Financial planning > Teneale Laister

Teneale has worked in financial planning for a decade, and has been with Alman Partners since 2008 – becoming a Partner in early 2016. She is highly qualified (including Financial Planner designation with the Financial Planning Association of Australia, a Bachelor of Commerce and Primary and Advanced Diplomas in Financial Services) and has a wealth of knowledge in many areas of finance and financial planning strategies.

Insurance > Michelle Cross

Since she was 18, insurance is all Michelle has known (apart from a short stint in hospitality, not her finest moment!). At just 24, Michelle was offered the Elders Insurance franchise and jumped at the opportunity to start this in Mackay. From a one-man band with a client book of zero to a team of nine and two national award-winning agencies, she still loves what she does and gets excited every day to work in the world of insurance.
